Uncertainty

2nd deployment

Hey, Bear.

I am on my second deployment. Started at 21/04 and tomorrow I will go back to the base.

This one is fully combat deployment, because of the security I don't want to be very specific of my position and location.

Less than 10km to the russians, in the kill zone.

It is indeed kill zone.

We had quite easy walk in. It was horrible for flying weather so we had clear sky. Also the car delivered us closer.

The way back tomorrow will be much harder and further. I hope it will rain.

When I just came here I joined two vets, they made me to operate/do my job on the same day.

They also weren't controlling me as they must.

Okay, I am a drone pilot. And was piloting from the day one and in both day and night.

Seems like I am very good at it. Well, the job is quite boring and I am afraid they will be sending me now more often than those who can't pilot.

I liked the vets, I knew them of course coz we based together.

The two vet's were changed for another two. And on of them like a fish god. He doesn't want to do anything. Even direct orders.

I had to do a lot of job instead of him.

I was coding the first two weeks, then I couldn't. My sleep is sucks, coz I am on the ground basically in my thin sleeping bag. And the ground is curvy uf.

Was getting tired and standing of the bed later and later.

Also because of lack of activity, my legs will be in test tomorrow.

Generally the deployment went well, if the return will be safe. Although I think that is such a waste of my time. As an software engineer I could be much more useful.

Most of the pilots lost quite a few drones, some of the losses were by a pilot's clear mistake.

I didn't lose a single one. Didn't even break one.

I hope I won't on this last day. It will be noticable.

It is just insane how much stuff flying towards russians as soon they are noticed.

It is also insane how much floating bombs they send into the villages, the smallest ones.

Please, rain tomorrow. And wind as much as possible.
